The East Village Precinct is a landmark mixed‑use development in Bentleigh East, spanning approximately 24 hectares and bringing together residential, community and open space outcomes within a highly connected urban setting. Delivered across a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment comprising numerous landowners, the precinct is designed to integrate contemporary residential development with key community infrastructure, including a new government school, upgraded public open spaces and a future town centre to support long‑term growth and activation.

Rokon was engaged by Fordtrans to deliver Stage 1 early works for a privately owned subdivision, with a critical focus on the installation of underground services ahead of road construction to meet program requirements for the adjacent school development. Works included sewer installation, deep stormwater drainage exceeding 3 metres, dual carriageway road construction and intersection works with lighting. Delivered under tight time constraints and in coordination with surrounding development activity, the project enabled timely infrastructure readiness and contributed to the successful establishment of this significant urban precinct.
