Rokon is proud to announce we are now officially a Platinum Partner of Kinaway, the Victorian Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce.

Kinaway, meaning “exchange”, supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses across Victoria through strong networks, cultural knowledge, and expertise.

This partnership marks an important step forward in our commitment to reconciliation, sustainable procurement, and creating inclusive opportunities across our industry.

Through our collaboration with Kinaway, Rokon will:

• Strengthen and diversify our supplier base by connecting with First Nations businesses
• Create consequential opportunities for local employment and training
• Access culturally relevant resources, programs, and workshops to build a more inclusive and culturally safe workplace
• Commence our reconciliation journey through the development of the first stage of our Reconciliation Action Plan

We also aim to create new opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses to collaborate with Rokon on our civil infrastructure and development projects. By connecting with organisations that are First Nations-owned, managed, and controlled, we hope to support their growth, bolster local economies, and contribute to meaningful community outcomes.

The timing of this membership aligned perfectly with the Victorian Aboriginal Business Awards Night which Rokon attended as a Silver Sponsor.  The night was a wonderful celebration of statewide Aboriginal business success, with the overall spirit of collaboration that drives Kinaway’s mission a consistent theme of the evening.
